FURTHER EXPANSION OF THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
We are continuing to expand our engineering department with the recruitment of two new project engineers, between them we now have the capability for in-house tool design and in-house product design capabilities.
Barry Floyd – Tool Designer/ Project Engineer
Has 35 years experience in injection mould tool design. He did his apprenticeship as a tool designer at National Plastics gaining a HNC in Mechanical Engineering, and went on to work for Cannon Rubber, Stadium Plastics, Production Tool Designs and Precision Moulded Products.
Tony Keaney – Project Engineer
Completed a BEng Honours in Mechanical Engineering at The Queens University of Belfast in 2004. He then specialised in Polymer Engineering at Queen’s University where he received an MSc in Polymer Engineering in 2005.
He then conducted research into the Plug Assisted Thermoforming Process working on tooling design, prototype building and project management with Holfeld Plastics, Arklow, Ireland. He received a PhD from this in 2009.
He then worked as a Shift Manager in production for the Extrusion Blow Moulding company Nampak Plastics Europe, before joining PEP in October 2011.
