ENHANCEMENT OF OUR QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT

To further enhance our quality control department we have taken delivery of a 2nd Co-Ordinate Measuring Machine. The machine, which is located in the quality control department alongside our current probe CMM, offers both probe and optical (non-contact) measuring facilities.

The machine, an Optiv Classic 321 GL tp CMM, offers the same flexibility as the current CMM with the ability to take the customers CAD data and use it to measure the components produced, as well as produce SPC data.

The purchase of a machine that can also measure optically (non-contact) relates to the fact that we have purchased a 9T electric micro-moulding machine which can mould parts that weight as little as 0.02g. The new CMM allows the measurement of small delicate technically moulded products optically, thus avoiding the potential for false readings caused by the touch of a probe.
