Managed Tool Design and Production

PEP undertakes all tooling project management providing the customer with a single point of contact.

Design FMEA's

Fully documented design FMEA's are carried out at the customer's request in cooperation with both PEP's and the customer's engineering departments.

Toolroom, quality and raw material suppliers are also involved.

Quality Planning

Detailed production Control Plans are created for each component. Plans take into account all relevant manufacturing information required to produce the component to specification.

Project Progress Reports

All tooling projects are monitored with the toolroom and tooling progress Gantt Charts are provided to the customer on a weekly basis.

Tool Trialing

On completion of tooling, trials are carried in production conditions to establish optimum tool operation and correct processing data.

The results are then copmpared with the estimated information used to prepare original piece part costings and final accurate production costs are confirmed to the client.

PPAP Submission

For Automotive customers PEP can supply fully detailed PPAP's (Production Part Approval Process) from level 1 to level 3 to fit customer requirements as laid down by QS9000.

Fully Dimensioned ISIR's

After completion of successful tool trials the components are inspected in our fully equipped Quality Laboratory and measured against either the part drawing or CAD data to confirm manufacture to specification.

Initial Sample Reports are supplied to the client for final approval and sign off.
