PEP’s all-embracing approach to quality assurance embraces personnel, equipment and quality systems.

It is a commitment underlined by the fact that the business was only the second UK based company to obtain registration to ISO/ TS16949:2002 at the first attempt. This has now been superceded by ISO/ TS16949:2009.

Our closed-loop CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) system allows quality to be controlled at the point of manufacture on a real time basis. The business utilises SPC (Statistical Process Control) methodologies and works to a ‘zero defect’ supply policy.

Key elements of the services which underpin this policy include:

• CMM / PC DMIS to measure against customer CAD data
• Mondo visual non-contact measurement
• R&R studies
• Testing (destructive and non-destructive, including specialist test equipment for torque measurement, break tests, pull tests and drop tests)
• 8-D problem solving techniques
