2 Shot

The 2-shot process takes two engineering grade, chemically-compatible polymers (usually one soft-feel and one hard) and moulds them simultaneously into one component, thereby generating very competitive piece-part prices. The materials can also be of a different colour and the product can be produced by using either a rotating platen or internal rotation within the mould tool. PEP is currently moulding a number of successful automotive projects using this process. Our first machine has a 210-tonne clamp, with a 120cm³ vertical injection unit.
